Joy Murphy – Owner

Joy is a former teacher, manager, designer, event planner and stay at home mom, with a bachelors degree in Human Services and Education from Northeastern University and a Masters in Education from Cambridge College.  Her first introduction to Move Management was when her mother-in-law decided to downsize from her two level home into community living.  Decisions to downsize and to change direction from your original plan can be difficult.  Joy recognized that even deciding to make a move could be just as stressful as the move itself.  It was her mission to do everything she could make this transition as stress free as possible.  

 Listening to someone’s needs and concerns is everything.  Taking a lifetime worth of memories and treasures and deciding what can make the journey with you is overwhelming at best.  Joy had the natural leadership skills to be able take this transition head on and guide her family through it.    What she saw was that not everyone is able to do this on their own or has family members that are able to complete all these tasks, whether it be age, health obstacles, or distance.  Sometimes you just need a little help.

With a degree in Human Services and Education from Northeastern University, Joy has always been drawn to helping others through various stages.  She is a member of NASMM, the National Association of Senior and Specialty Move Managers.  Joy would be honored to help write your next chapter.   Life can be stressful, but your move does not have to be.
